Elementary Program
Our Elementary Program is an extension of the primary program where children learn advanced concepts of Language, Science, Math and Geography.
Why do stars twinkle? Why do some people have blue eyes? Where does lightning come from? How tall is the tallest building, and how does it stand up? What about the largest dinosaur? How long ago did they live, and why were they so big, anyway? Who decides what’s fair and unfair, right and wrong, good and bad, beautiful and ugly? What does democracy mean? The questions that arise in childhood, and the way your child learns to answer them, shape the way she comes to see the world and her role within it.
Practical Life
Your child gains autonomy and accountability as they learn to manage their personal needs and environment. They acquire skills in organizing their workspace, repairing clothing, understanding nutritional information, and cooking simple yet nourishing meals. Additionally, they participate in various responsibilities like cleaning, watering plants, and maintaining technology. They also learn to balance classroom requirements with personal pursuits, meeting deadlines for independent tasks. Moreover, they cultivate graceful and courteous conduct, engaging in polite introductions, attentive eye contact to show respect, and gracefully expressing disagreement or declining offers.
Math
Your child embarks on a transformative path, progressing from hands-on interactions with math materials to developing abstract mathematical thinking. Through the utilization of intricate Montessori math manipulatives, they acquire a comprehensive understanding of number formation up to the millions, computational abilities, estimation and rounding, place value, angle classification and measurement, fractions, and various other complex abstract concepts. Additionally, they engage in practical applications of these concepts within real-life scenarios, honing their problem-solving skills involving money, time, distances, and the design of physical spaces.
Child-Centered Approach
We prioritize the unique needs and interests of each child, fostering an environment that encourages self-directed learning and exploration.
Prepared Environment
The Prepared Environment is an essential aspect of our pedagogy and curriculum at every level, specifically designed to meet the changing needs of your child as he grows and matures.
Individual Learning Path
We closely observe and assess each child's progress, offering personalized guidance and support by creating paths tailored to their specific needs.
Whole Child Development
The curriculum encompasses not only academic subjects but also social, emotional, physical, and moral development thus nurturing well rounded individuals.
Language
At Trinity we engage elementary students by integrating language studies with the captivating narrative of the evolution of human language. Students explore various historical communication methods like pictographs, symbols, hieroglyphs, and early alphabets. This contextual understanding facilitates fluent reading, comprehension, effective writing for research, logical and creative expression, mastery of English conventions, and mechanics. Moreover, it fosters a genuine enjoyment of acquiring and sharing knowledge, ideas, and stories.
Humanities
History becomes a vibrant experience for your child. Anchored within the grand narrative of life on Earth, they immerses himself in captivating research on subjects that ignite her curiosity: from the vastness of the Milky Way and the richness of the Amazon to the allure of China, the Ancient Egyptians, Colonial Americans, and the Incan Empire. By crafting reports, models, timelines, and other forms of expression, they not only gain knowledge but also cultivate a profound comprehension of their role within the broader tapestry of human history.
Science
Discovering the commonalities among all 50,000 species of vertebrates, comprehending the process of photosynthesis, exploring the inner workings of our planet, understanding the mechanisms behind volcanic eruptions and river flow—these scientific wonders come to life for your child. Engaging in rainwater collection initiatives, tending to the classroom garden, observing local flora, and conducting hands-on experiments, builds a formidable repository of scientific knowledge, equipping her for independent exploration, research, and experimentation.
