In our Primary Program children develop a strong foundation in academics, social skills, and a lifelong love for learning. We foster their uniqueness, creativity and curiosity.
During the formative first six years, your child’s mind is highly receptive. Every experience is novel and captivating! Using her senses, she actively explores her surroundings, assimilating a wealth of information. Language, math, colours, flavours, textures—she deciphers various foundational systems. Building functional autonomy, she takes initial steps towards independence, mastering essential tasks, emotional regulation, and cooperation. Patience, empathy, conflict resolution, and problem-solving principles are also embraced. In essence, she learns to thrive in the classroom, gaining newfound confidence through her growing independence, even when away from home and family.
Imagine witnessing your child confidently and skilfully using a spoon, threading needles, patiently waiting their turn, respectfully navigating around a classmate’s work mat, and attentively observing lessons with hands folded behind their back. At Trinity Montessori, these are the moments you can expect to see. As your child grows in coordination and self-awareness, they gradually assume more significant responsibilities, taking ownership of their actions, environment, and personal development.
Building upon mastery of sensory observation and eye-hand coordination, your child progresses to advanced sensorial materials, enabling them to discern, compare, solve problems, and make conclusions. Touch Tablets refine their tactile discrimination, even with closed eyes. Colour Boxes foster differentiation of primary and secondary colours, shades, and colour intensity. Engaging in smelling and tasting activities further enhances their sensory perception. Each new experience deepens their understanding of the world, expanding their growing knowledge base.
We prioritize the unique needs and interests of each child, fostering an environment that encourages self-directed learning and exploration.
Our environment is structured to promote independence, order, and self-discipline, allowing children to freely choose activities that align with their interests and skill levels.
We closely observe and assess each child's progress, offering personalized guidance and support by creating paths tailored to their specific needs.
The curriculum encompasses not only academic subjects but also social, emotional, physical, and moral development thus nurturing well rounded individuals.
Over the course of three transformative years, your child undergoes systematic and coherent growth, progressing from early stages of literacy to becoming an author and illustrator of their own stories, engaging in meaningful questioning, reading aloud to others, and organizing words alphabetically. The journey in Early Learning starts with concrete and sensorial experiences, such as tracing Sandpaper Letters and manipulating the Movable Alphabet, before transitioning to pencil and paper for word formation.
In the Children’s House, your child’s journey towards genuine mathematical learning and critical thinking begins by employing their senses to develop basic logical reasoning. Sensorial learning remains integral as they grasp spatial awareness, comprehend numerical values and quantities, and refine their understanding of scale, multiplication, angles, and fitting. Through foundational lessons utilizing renowned Montessori materials like the Pink Tower, Golden Beads, Knob Cylinders, Geometry Cabinet, Binomial Cube, and more, your child receives a solid and effective preparation for future abstract mathematical concepts.
The Culture area in the Primary Program expands children’s horizons through the exploration of art/craft,k, geography, history, science, music, and nature. Children embark on virtual journeys to different continents, learn about countries, landmarks, and cultural traditions. They also engage in music and movement activities, developing rhythm, and coordination.
Your child progresses further in their mastery of art materials and tools, exploring concepts of lines, shapes, colour, water-colour techniques, printmaking, weaving, sculpture, and various art forms. Alongside creating art, they cultivate purposeful self-expression and nurture their creativity. Students enjoy an additional 60 minutes of art instruction every week, fostering their artistic development.
